Myth about Special Diet:


People with diabetes have to follow a special diet


Diabetes on a special diet means eating the healthiest foods in moderate amounts and sticking to regular mealtimes. A diabetes diet is a healthy-eating plan that's naturally rich in nutrients and low in fat and calories.


Special Foods Are Required to Manage Diabetes

They are nothing you, can't limit certain foods. You can eat a wide range of foods.


Bitter-tasting food will help lower blood glucose levels


Bitter gourd is used in natural medicine to help lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes. Few melons have several chemicals that act like insulin & help to lower blood sugar levels.


Switching to wholegrain rice means I can eat more rice

Rice is rich in carbohydrates and can have a high GI score. If you have diabetes, you may think that you need to skip it at dinner, but this isn't always the case. You can still eat rice if you have diabetes.

People with diabetes shouldn’t eat fruit.

According to the American Diabetes Association reports that any fruit is good for a person with diabetes, still that they are not allergic to that type of fruit.

Nutrition guidelines recommend that people with diabetes consume 2–4 servings of fruit per day.

Eating sugar causes diabetes


Eating sugar doesn't cause too much diabetic. It depends on the genetic component & also triggers genetic risk.


All ‘sugar-free’ products are calorie-free food

Foods that naturally contain sugar, such as whole fruit, are highly nutritious. It does not necessarily mean They are calorie-free.

Carbohydrates Are Bad for Diabetes.

Carbohydrates are an important part of our daily diet. Each of us needs carbs in our daily routine including people with Diabetes. It is the fuel you need to start the day.

Protein Is Better Than Carbohydrates for Diabetes.

We need to consume an equal pair of carbs & protein for the body for the daily routine. You can eat them any time during Diabetic.


Myth about Alcohol:


You can’t drink alcohol if you have diabetes.

You can still drink alcohol when you suffer from diabetic, but you need to be aware of how it affects you.
